The VKIC envisions its role as the intellectual fountainhead for India's Northeast. It shall inspire leadership with the idea of 'Development with Culture'. Through self-renewal, it resolves to lead Mother Bharat to the glorious throne of Jagatguru.

The VKIC has drawn up the following plans of action to advance the cause of re-establishing the ancient bonds between the rest of Bharat and the Northeast. Many of these plans are already in various stages of fruition:

--->Publication of a regular scholarly journal.

--->Compilation of available published material on the culture life of the Northeast.

---->Organising periodic lectures, seminars, workshop, discussions and exhibitions.

The VKIC has organised a number of seminars and workshops thus far in which reowned scholars have participated from all over the Northeast. They have deliberated upon the methods of preserving the continuity of the culture, incorporating the beneficial elements of the modern currents.
