Aims and Objectives
" I believe that India is One, indissoluble, indivisible ...National unity is built on the common home, the common interest and the common love...
I believe that the strength that spoke in the Vedas and Upanishads, in the making of religions and empires, in the learning of scholars and the meditation of saints, is born once more and its name today is Nationality.
I believe that the present of India is deep-rooted in Her past and that before Her shines a glorious future.
O Nationality!Come Thou to me as joy or sorrow, as honor or as shame. Make me Thine own!"
-Sister Nivedita

ARUNACHAL PRADESH – A BRIEF ANALYSES
Strengths and Opportunities
Socio-Cultural:

- It is inhabited by twenty-six major communities. Each has its own unique characteristics ranging from bold, aggressive and devoted to intelligent, sincere and gentle.
- The age-old traditional systems are alive in spite of the onslaught of Westernization masquerading as modernization.
- The binding factor is the common bases of their cultural practices such as Common bases of traditional history, agriculture-based festivals, Nature worship, respect to elders, self-governing village Councils, etc.
Weaknesses and Threats:
- Many of the educated are unaware of or indifferent to the traditional knowledge
- Traditional history is in oral form: since the knowledgeable are often illiterate, in their passing away lies the danger of losing all the knowledge of which they were repositories.
- Disruptive tendencies because a] confusion in values b] development initiative is not community / need-based. This has not only badly-affected community initiative it has led to extreme dependence on governmental agencies.
- Political exigencies and other vested interests often trigger inter and intra-community clashes and of late, anti-national sentiments.
