Publications

VKIC –APC undertake publication of the following:

  • Seminar and Symposia Papers
  • Booklets on aspects of tradition / festivals including Folk lore to spread awareness
  • Works on historic / historical aspects
  • Booklets on: Policies that affect Culture and so should be aware of it.
    [Eg: Macaulay’s Famous Minute of 1835]
  • Challenges and understanding their dimensions.
  • Local prayers and song books
  • Greeting Cards for: Raksha Bandhan and major festivals of Arunachal Pradesh.

The medium of publication is based on three factors:

  • The language which the scholars have used: English/ sometimes the local dialects.
  • Point of circulation of publication: within community: publication will be in local dialect.
  • There is a growing need to promote understanding between communities. For such publications, English is normally used.

  • Traditional Customs and Rituals of the North East- Vol-II [compiled for the entire Northeast – Vol. II contains the Arunachal Pradesh Papers]

  • Booklets pertaining to indigenous faith and culture.
