An Inter- College quiz competition, ‘Sanskriti’, organised by Vivekananda Kendra Institute of Culture in collaboration with Arya Vidyapeeth College (Autonomous) was held on 7th February on the occasion of 2nd Arya Book Fair, 2023. The programme started with the Mangalacharan and welcome address by Sri Dipankar Mahanta, Joint Secretary, VKIC.

The quiz was led by the quiz master Sri Dharmaraj Joshi, Karyakarta, Vivekananda Kendra. The competition was based on the Indian culture with a prime focus on the North east India.

There were nine teams in the preliminary written round and the top six teams who scored the most were selected for the final round.

There were approximately 30 participants for the quiz and were students of Modern High School, Kahilipara and Arya Vidyapeeth College of Guwahati.

The programme concluded with the remarks of Prof. P.C Bhattacharjee, Director, VKIC, and the distribution of prizes to the winner, 1st runner up and the 2nd runner up teams.

Prof. Bhattacharjee, in his remark expressed delight regarding the enthusiasm of the participants. He encouraged such competitions to further take place by Vivekananda Kendra Institute of Culture.

The participants also expressed their gratefulness towards the organisers about such a topic that is held for quiz. That such a topic regarding the traditions and customs of the communities is very rare in such competitions and requested the organisers for such programme to be held in future also.
